Friday November, 21st. Already another week gone by. The week just flew by and we are getting so close to Christmas. Today in 3R we are having a pajama day because we finished our novel, James and the Giant Peach. We are quite excited to watch the movie and compare the movie and the book. Students went to visit their kindy buddies today, because they too were having a pajama day. Everyone was very excited and happy to see each other in their pajama's. We read some books and said goodbye to our kindy buddies for another week.

Hello fellow blog followers. This week was very short and sweet. Students arrived surprised by Christmas decorations everywhere in the class. With the snow and cold weather it truly feels like Christmas. Today we studied homophones and students created sentences using homophones; they turned out pretty funny. In art students are creating elves with their faces on, they are working very hard and I am excited to see how these turn out. Here are pictures of the students hard at work.

Today 3R had a skype session with my parents who are retirees from the Armed Forces. My father spoke to the kids about his experience and showed them his medals. The children were very interested in the medals and how they could achieve them. They were very polite and listened very well. We ended the skype session with a little bit of Charlotte time. They got to see Charlotte on Skype and I think they were quite excited, so was I. They are a great bunch of kids. This week we will be looking at World War I and World War II. Here are some pictures of our skype session.
